About
The International DLG Plant Production Centre (IPZ) is an innovative farm on the southern edge of the Magdeburg Börde region, combining practical agriculture with applied research. In addition to conducting its own field trials, the IPZ initiates and supports numerous projects relating to arable farming, digitalisation and network coordination. Content and results are specifically prepared and communicated for agricultural practitioners and for national and international stakeholders in the DLG network. One focus of field trials is currently on the project funded by the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation on the integration of valuable wild herbs in intensive market crop cultivation. This project investigates how operational management measures can be adapted to promote valuable wild herb species and what ecological and economic effects this has on agricultural businesses.
