About
Mapping the field without contact, inspecting photovoltaic systems, or sowing cover crops before harvesting grain - drones enable us to do all this in agricultural applications. Remote sensing via cameras and sensors, searching for fawns before mowing, and applying seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides are typical applications. However, there are a number of things to consider when it comes to this topic: What types of drones are there and for which applications are they suitable? What has already been proven and established, and where is there still a need for further development? What technical equipment is required, what expertise is needed to operate it, and what regulations must be observed by the operator? Does it make sense to have your own drone, or is it better to use a service provider?
The use of drones in agriculture is developing rapidly and is diverse. This is exciting, but it also raises questions. In this event, we address these questions and provide answers.
