The DiP consortium is actively shaping the structural transformation in the Central German region and is establishing a model region for the bioeconomy in southern Saxony-Anhalt. The focus lies on developing sustainable, digitally supported plant-based value chains – from breeding to industrial use.

Across 20 research projects involving around 50 partners from academia, industry and public administration, digital solutions are being developed for climate-resilient agriculture, new bio-based products and the green chemistry of the future. The aim is to create a model region for plant-based bioeconomy, where innovations from research and practice converge – fostering sustainability, efficiency and regional value creation.
